The United States has no official language at the federal level. Nearly 68 million US residents speak a language other than English at home, a share that has grown steadily over the past two decades. Executive Order 13166 requires federal agencies and organizations receiving federal funding to provide meaningful access to their services in other languages.

Our US office serves and coordinates work across Indiana, the US and Canada, serving the North American market.

The organizations we can support

Government & Public Sector

United States Capitol, Washington, D.C.

Washington DC is the seat of the federal government, home to the US State Department and USAID. Federal agencies operate under a legal obligation to provide language access, which makes government translation and interpretation demand continuous rather than occasional: diplomatic and consular material, policy documents, regulatory filings and public communications intended for audiences overseas.

UN Agencies

United Nations Headquarters, New York

New York City hosts UN headquarters and the full cluster of UN funds and programmes that operate from it, including UNDP, UNICEF, UNFPA and UN Women. These agencies produce programme documentation, policy material and country-level reporting in multiple languages on a continuous basis, moving constantly between headquarters and the countries where they operate.

We have an established relationship with UNDP through their New York office, where we have supported their programme documentation, policy materials and communications for beneficiary communities in Southeast Asia.

Humanitarian & Development / Advocacy & Rights Groups

New York City skyline

New York and Washington DC are also home to major international humanitarian, development and rights organizations, whose field operations generate a constant flow of material between headquarters and the countries where they work: donor reports, training manuals, programme documentation and advocacy communications.

Prior to opening our US office, we supported these US-based organizations internationally:

  • International Justice Mission
  • Teach For All
  • Wildlife Conservation Society
